Tyvek - a magic material

Welcome friends!

Do you know TYVEK???

Es war an der Zeit wieder etwas Neues auszuprobieren. Als begeisterter Mixed Media Fan mit einem Faible für 3D Effekte sah ich bei Pinterest ein Projekt, 
wo dieses Tyvek verarbeitet war.

Es ist ein weißes Vlies, also ein synthetisches Material
und optisch ähnlich wie japanische Faserpapiere. Man kann auch sagen Spinnvlies
und das trifft es im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes, denn zum 'spinnen' ist es bestens geeignet ;-)
Mich faszinierte diese organische Struktur und so begann ich damit zu experimentieren.
und das ist dabei heraus gekommen

mit Bügeleisen (iron)

 

Tyvek wild mit Acryl Metallicfaben bemalt
trocknen lassen


Spannung und Geduld sind gefragt :-), 
ich habe das Tyvek zwischen zwei Lagen Backpapier gelegt und das heiße Bügeleisen darüber gehalten, zwischendurch bitte auch mal wenden ;-)
funktioniert besser als es direkt zu bügeln
und immer wieder nachschauen
zunächst passierte gar nichts und plötzlich

 it's really magic :-) I must say
entstehen Strukturen wie Blasen und Risse
die man zusätzlich noch mit Metalic Lustre Gold (Metallwachs) 
verschönern kann


einzelne Stücke davon wurden dann um das Gesicht verteilt und aufgeklebt
 man kann es einfach mit der Schere bearbeiten und mit jedem üblichen Kleber befestigen

 so sah der Keilrahmen aus
  bevor ich die Farben zum Laufen brachte ;-)

ich kann auch nur wärmstens empfehlen es selbst auszuprobieren,
es sieht immer wieder anders aus
und regt die Fantasie an!

    Tyvek und du - ihr passt wirklich hervorragend zusammen, muss ich sagen!

    Da versinke ich wirklich in jedem deiner Detailbilder und finde schon die einzelnen Ausschnitte atemberaubend schön. Und wie immer ist das Ganze dann eine von dir gekonnt erzählte Geschichte voller Magie und Entdeckungen, die zu machen sind!

  2. Oh, My Goodness. I could not get my translate to work on your blog but I just loved what you created. So much detail and I could spend so much time just looking and drooling over these colors that you picked out also!!! Love it! Hugs

  5. Wow Kerstin, your canvas is an absolute delight! I love how you worked the gorgeous coloured Tyvek into your creation (I loved seeing all your photos too!). The art balls, the shells and the starfish really have created a mysterious underwater scene. Beautiful work!

  7. I want to reach out and touch this with all the lovely texture! You created a treasure chest of goodies with this underwater design. So many delicious bits to look at! Awesome sauce and the tyvek is gorgeous! Incredible details and the colors are perfectly perfect for the sea. Fantabulous!
